You can reach this arch of triumph from the other side, from the direction of Prístavná ulica, underneath the concrete pillars, in between the aspen trees. The Most Hrdinov Dukly (“The Bridge of the Dukla heroes”) was built between 1977 and 1985, while the window of my room as a child was overlooking the whole monstrosity over on the Petržalka side. So the best way to reach the arch of triumph is from the Apollo bridge. It was completed in 1985 based upon the designs of the academic sculptor Ladislav Snopek and his collective.
