Tumulus

» This is the place where in 4.5.1919 the plane of general M. R. Štefánik came crashing down. In 1923 a renowned architect Dušan Jurkovič has built a tumulus in the shape of a pyramid. It is a nice and peaceful place in the midst of the fields, close to the airport. It is a short distance by bike from the lake in Ivánka or from Zelená voda. «
» Btw., there is this narrow pathway leading from the tumulus, that you could use to bicycle all the way to the lake in Ivánka, which has a beautifully clear water and it is nicely refreshing in the summer. «
