Haberdashers

→ Ostredská 1 – in Budúcnosť department store in Ružinov (probably the biggest one) → Slimák department store – you can walk about and try the goods… → Next to Two Lions on Špitálska → Near Justičný palác [Palace of Justice] on Záhradnícka – two haberdashery shops next to each other. One specializes in fabrics and sewing (they also have an in-store tailor), the other specialises in patchwork and crafty handiwork. They are more expensive, but they have stuff you cannot find elsewhere. The ladies working there are not always the frendliest. If you like to sew, they have great fabrics which they order according to the latest Burda designs. If you like any of the stuff in Burda magazine and you would like to make it yourself, you can get the fabrics there. I have ordered a dress made out of tiger-print denim and they were really well-made. → In the Market Hall on Trnavské mýto. Enter through the side entrance, close to the tram stop. Turn left and the third or fourth shop is a haberdasher. It is quite small, but they have a decent selection, good prices and kind staff. → In Saratov department store in Dúbravka → Hollého, perpendicular with Špitálska → Šustekova 3 in Petržalka – they also offer garment adjustments and they have good selection of underwear
